Dancer - Teacher - Choreographer

Hot Dance was founded by Elise May, professional performer, teacher and choreographer. Elise is a dancer with Brisbane’s Expressions Dance Company and has performed and presented work in venues in Australia and overseas including Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Cairns, China, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and New York. Elise is a classically trained dancer who has studied classical ballet and contemporary dance for 16 years and holds university degree “Bachelor of Fine-Arts – Dance” from Queensland University of Technology.

Elise has choreographed/ produced many of her own dance works including “Close Proximity” Under The Radar - Brisbane Festival 2009, “End Up” commissioned by Expressions 2008, “Knee Deep in Sunshine” (QUT Dance Bytes Season 2004), “Elegance thy name.., “ Brisbane Powerhouse 2003, "swanstyles.mpeg" Dancehouse, Melbourne 2002 and In 2005 Elise represented Australia in the Asian Young Choreographer’s Project in Taiwan.
